The Minor Arcana

The Minor Arcana consists of 56 Tarot cards divided into four suits: Wands, Pentacles, Swords, and Cups. Each suit contains 10 numbered cards and four Court Cards—Page, Knight, Queen, and King.

While the Major Arcana addresses the broader themes and transformative experiences of life, the Minor Arcana focuses on the everyday aspects that fill in the gaps between these major events. They offer insights into our thoughts, feelings, and actions, providing a detailed look at how we navigate our daily lives.

The Minor Arcana cards reflect the nuances of our personal experiences. They explore our immediate concerns, relationships, and the everyday situations we encounter. For instance, the Wands suit often pertains to creativity and action, the Pentacles deal with material aspects and practical concerns, the Swords are associated with thoughts and conflict, and the Cups explore emotions and relationships.

The Court Cards in each suit—Page, Knight, Queen, and King—represent different personalities and roles within our lives, from youthful enthusiasm and ambition to mature leadership and wisdom. These cards can indicate the influence of specific individuals or aspects of ourselves and how they interact with our current circumstances.

Together, the Minor Arcana cards reveal the dynamics of our daily experiences and the actions we take. They provide a deeper understanding of our interactions with others and the events that shape our lives, bridging the major life themes depicted in the Major Arcana with the practical, day-to-day aspects of our journey.

In essence, both the Major and Minor Arcana are integral to the Tarot, creating a comprehensive narrative of our life's story. The Major Arcana charts the broader, transformative journey, while the Minor Arcana offers a detailed view of the day-to-day experiences that shape our path.
